Core/Spine

Gentle Strength
14 minute core blast that I named ‘gentle’ strength because I feel this work is very deep but isn’t overly intense in the sense of it requiring a huge amount of energy or aggression. I was inspired by the name from the manipura chakra, the idea of the naval area as relating to fire, not a blazing inferno but a gentle warming hearth.

Open Wings
You need 2 blocks or a bolster for this flow, we start with some lovely opening for the heart and chest in supported fish before working the core and shoulders. A nice blend of mobility, strength and vinyasa. Its a strong class that emphasis opening the chest with some backbends threaded through out, we build to forearm stand or headstand. Have fun be playful

Courageous Core
This class begins by creating space in the rib cage before going deep with the abdominals. You need a pilates ball or a rolled up towel and block might do

Side Kick
This is a 25 minute uplifting practice, it has a shoulder and upper body edge to it, we start with the mobilsation of the spine and then explore some playful kick throughs, that give you an option to move into crab reach. Expect to get you heart going and some fire in your shoulders (and legs).

Moons & Crows
A playful strong hippie/core balance flow. You’ll find moons, half planks, nice side things and crow.

Rib Flare and Your Shoulders
This class focuses on core and shoulders and how to keep the lower ribs more integrated for better breathing mechanics (the foundation of you core). You will need a block. This is great practice that you will be sure to feel the following day!

The 6 Directions (Part 2)
A similar flow to last week, the foundation and beginning are the same, moving the spine in all directions, the difference this week, its more in the style of vinyasa. Yes, there will be Sun Salutations!

The 6 Directions (Part 1)
We start off with breath, core activation and then move into a blend of strength and spaciousness, focusing on moving the spine in all directions.
