About Joanne Walton

Why yoga?

Yoga gives us a way to come home to ourselves again and again. I started practicing yoga when I was 15 years old and it quickly became my safe space. Somewhere I could explore, slow down and go inward. Yoga helped me navigate life with more ease, shifting from reactivity to presence and peace. I love how this practice has a ripple effect from on the mat to off the mat, to enhance and benefit our daily lives.

What styles do you teach and practice?

I teach vinyasa flow with grounding cool downs, breathing/pranayama practices, fascia release, chanting, moments of stillness and some giggles too! I also teach and practice Yin Yoga. A slower, deeper and profound practice that’s been a huge part of my personal practice and teaching journey.

What can students expect?

Expect warmth, ease and flow. Expect a mix of challenge and simplicity. Creating a space to move freely, breathe deeply, to release and just be. My classes encourage feeling good with movement, acceptance, going inward and letting go, so we can move through our lives with more peace.
